Welcome to our web site
We here at His Servants' Ministry, teach the WHOLE Truth of God's Holy Word. We teach God's love and goodness and mercy and Heaven; but we also teach God's Holy and righteous wrath and His judgment that is sure to come and we do teach an eternal Hell, the Lake of Fire.
It deeply saddens me the way that the world is turning away from the goodness of Almighty God. The vast majoriy of people in the world today never, ever think of eternity. They just keep on keeping on in their sin, and they really must think they will go to Heaven. My dear friend, there really IS a Hell, and there really IS a Judgment Day when ALL people will be held accountable for their sins. BEWARE!!!

What Judgment Will Christians Face
On Judgment Day?
I know the Bible says we will all be judged. And I know the Bible says Jesus has wiped away all our sins. (For Christians).
So, many people have this question! . . . IF Jesus has wiped away all our sins, what will Christians stand in judgment for on judgment day?
Judgment
To discuss the doctrine of the judgment of God, we must understand the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for the sins of all men (John 3:16, Hebrews 12:2). All of our sins are forgiven because of this single Sacrifice (Hebrews 7:27), and we will NEVER be judged for the individual sins that we commit. In eternity, our sins are forgiven and forgotten by God. Jesus supplied our eternal sacrifice, and when we confess our sins, (1 John 1:9), we can have God’s temporal forgiveness in this life.
Let's consider the following.
1 Peter 1:17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: (KJV)
TRUE Christians can pray to God as their Father because they have been justified by faith in Christ Jesus (Rom.5:1-2). God does NOT judge people by what their faces look like. Instead, God judges ALL people by His standard of what is good and evil. God sees how each and every person lives. To fear God does NOT mean to be afraid of Him. It means that people respect and obey God because He is great and holy. Peter again reminds Christians that they are strangers in this world, sojourning here in fear. The home of TRUE believers is in Heaven (1 Pet.1:4-5).
Who without respect of persons . . . God will not excuse sin in ANY person! Not in a Jew descended from Abraham, and not those that are born of Gentile parents. God is NOT a respecter of persons (Job 34:19; Acts 10:34; Eph. 6:9).
Judgeth according to every man's work . . . God is not only a Father, but also a Judge, and a most righteous One.
According to every man's work . . . everyone shall be judged according to how they lived. Judgment according to works: (Job 34:11; Ps.28:4; 62:12; Pro.24:12,29; Jer.32:19; Lam.3:64: Mat.16:27; 2 Cor.11:15; Rom.2:6; Rev.20:13; 22:12)
Pass the time of your sojourning here . . . this means the temporary home of a man in a place where he was not born, or does not ordinarily reside; such being the condition of believers in the world, that they are sojourners, NOT citizens of it; they are traveling through it to their Father's house and heavenly country, (Heb.11:9-10, 13, 16).
In fear . . . meaning love, honor, respect, reverence, worship . . . ALL which is due to him as a Father and a Judge. It simply implies the greatest reverence and deepest humility (Phil. 2:12; 1 Cor. 2:3; 1 Pet. 3:2,15).
God does NOT deal with unbelievers the same way that He deals with Christians. But He is ALWAYS right and just! And He NEVER respects one person over another as we humans do. What a person receives on judgment day will be totally correct judgment!
http://www.worldlychaos.org/w_c_judgment_according_to_works.1.htm . . . http://www.worldlychaos.org/w_c_judgment_seat_of_christ.1.htm . . . http://www.worldlychaos.org/w_c_great_white_throne_judgment.1.htm
So, Since we call on a Father who judges each man’s work impartially, we must live our lives as strangers here in reverent fear.
The FIRST standard of judgment is: God will judge according to reality; the true and actual state of that person. Anyone who is unthankful, rebellious, ungodly and unrighteous; no matter what nation, age, or description, will be judged by God according to their true character. Because in every willful sin, there is hate and contempt for the purity and goodness of God.
Also consider:
Romans 2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; [KJV]
If you keep on with sinful doings, you are “treasuring up wrath.” If you think God won’t judge you, you are wrong! You CANNOT escape God’s “righteous judgment.”
Romans 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: (KJV)
The SECOND standard of judgment is that every unbeliever shall be judged according to what they have done. EVERY deed shall be revealed in God’s holy light, be it good or bad. No one without Christ will escape that final encounter with the Great Judge. Judgment according to works: Job 34:11; Ps.28:4; 62:12; Pro.24:12,29; Jer.32:19; Lam.3:64: Mat.16:27; 2 Cor.11:15; 1 Pet.1:17.
Romans 2:6 says that God will judge every man according to his deeds. ALL men will be judged, but there are two specific categories of judgment based on the deciding fact . . . believing in Christ Jesus as their personal Saviour. Dear one, ONLY upon accepting Christ as Saviour, does God imputes the righteousness of Christ Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit to each believer. Without this divine power, man can do no good (Romans 3:10, 12, Psalms 53:3). NO one can do humanly good deeds, unless the Holy Spirit indwells a person and God sees that person through the righteousness of His Son. A person CANNOT perform any divinely good works.
So, in the first category of judgment, believers will be judged at the Judgment Seat of Christ (2 Cor.5:10), and in the second category, unbelievers will be judged at the Great White Throne of God (Rev. 20:11-15).
The Judgment Seat of Christ
The judgment of all believers will take place at the Judgment Seat of Christ (2 Cor.5:10, Rom.14:10). The Bible does not really state WHEN this judgment will happen. Some believe that our day of judgment will take place after the rapture and during the tribulation period, but since God does not tell us in His Book, no one really knows! I go along with this determination, but I certainly do NOT know! It is in God's Holy Hands! Only HE knows all things! (Acts 15:18).
We are assured of both the rapture and this judgment which introduce what the Bible calls “. . . the day of the Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Cor.1:8), and we are charged and warned to be prepared for it and remain blameless in this life until that day.
1 Cor. 3:12-15 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. (KJV)
Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble . . .
Paul is speaking symbolically, comparing the church of Corinth to a building in verse 9. He had called them there God's building. They were built upon the doctrine of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul had preached Christ to them, this was their foundation. No one had any right to lay on any other foundation. But, there was to be a building raised upon this foundation, which might consist of different materials. Paul names six; three very good and exceptional ones: gold, silver and precious stones; and three others vile and worthless, wood, hay, stubble. By these materials, Paul either means good or bad works, or good or bad doctrines. Good doctrine is meant by gold, silver and precious stones; bad or false doctrine by the wood, hay, and stubble. These various degrees of bad doctrine may be understood as some doctrines are more wicked and damnable than others. Even though some may be false, unprofitable, trivial, and of no significance to the good of soul; they are still bad, for they do not profit the soul.
Those preaching the Gospel Truth are building with durable and sturdy materials gold, silver, precious stones which all can withstand fire (Rev.21:18-19), and are teachings that will stand the fiery test of judgment. But those teaching bad doctrine, a mixture of human philosophy and Judaism, cannot stand up to fire.
Some say this Passage refers only to preachers and teachers, and if this is so, then this applies to the doctrines that they bring. But on the other hand, if this refers to ALL Christians, then this would refer to our works. Good works = gold, silver, precious stones. Bad works = wood, hay, stubble.
Personally I believe it refers to us all, but especially to the preachers and teachers.
James 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. (KJV)
Believers will be judged on:
#1. Doctrines (Rom.2:14-16; Rom.ch.14)
#2. Conduct to others (Mat. ch.18; Rom.ch.14)
#3. Carnal traits (Col.ch.3; Rom.ch.1-2; Rom.8:1-13; 14:1-23
#4. Words (Mat.12:32-37; Rom.14)
#5. Things that affect others: slander, quarrels, idle words, foolishness (folly), dishonesty, broken promises, wrong dealings, etc. (Rom.1:29-32; 1 Cor.6:9-11; Gal.5:19-21; Col.ch.3; Eph.4:1-32; 5:1-33; 12:1-21; 14:1-23)
#6. Things that affect themselves: neglected opportunities, talents wasted, loose living, lack of spirituality, etc. (Rom.2:14-16; Heb.2:1-4; Gal.5:1-26; 6:1-10; Col.ch.3)
#7. Things that affect God: refusal to walk in the light, disobedience, rejection, failure to cooperate and yield to the Spirit, etc. (1 Cor.12; Rom.12; Eph.ch.4-5)
See end of chapter for more on the Judgment Seat of Christ, and what will be judged.
1 Cor. 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. (KJV)
Every man's work shall be made manifest . . . there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, neither hid, that shall not be known. Ecc. 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. (KJV)
It seems to me that Paul’s main idea here is that it shall be made clear what kind of materials EVERY spiritual builder will use, and what kind of doctrines every preacher preaches, whether they are true or false, important or unimportant, intended to produce genuine repentance, faith, and holiness in the hearers, or not; to promote TRUE conversion of sinners, and to enlighten and educate believers, or turn them away in apostasy.
Paul is concerned what kind of converts pastors will make . . . will they be able to with stand the fiery trial that will come or not.
For the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire . . . or time will declare it. Only time will make clear IF a pastor’s doctrine is Scriptural and sound, and his converts genuine or not. If his preaching produces no saving effect upon his hearers, if none of them are reformed in their ways and renewed in their hearts; if none of them are turned from sin to righteousness, and made new creatures in Christ Jesus, there is good reason to doubt the doctrine delivered to them is NOT of the right kind, and therefore is not pleasing to God. And the fire shall try every man’s work . . . just as fire tries metals, finding and separating the dross mixed with them; or, as the fire of that great and awful day will penetrate the earth and consume whatever is burnable, so shall the strict process of the final judgment try, not only the works of every private Christian, but the doctrine of every public teacher, and manifest whether it came up to the God’s standard or not. Although there is here a plain mention to a general fire, yet the expression, when applied to the trying of doctrines, and consuming those that are wrong, and the trying of the characters of professors, is clearly symbolic; because NO literal fire can have any effect on what is of a moral nature.
The fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is . . . so, by the fire mentioned here, is not the fire of God's wrath, or the fire of affliction and adversity, or the fire of the last judgment, but the Truth of the Gospel shining forth in the world, and burning up the trash and stubble of corrupt, false doctrine, that will bring all the doctrines which men teach, to the final trial.
Judged According to Works: (Ps.62:12; Pro.24:12,29; Isa.59:18; Jer.21:14; 25:14; 32:19; Lam.3:64; Eze.7:8-9; 18:30; Hos.12:2; Zec.1:6; Mat.16:27; Rom.2:6; 2 Tim.4:14; Rev.2:23; 18:6; 20:12-13; 22:12).
1 Cor. 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. (KJV)
If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon . . . this may be a reference to the purifying of different kinds of vessels under the law. All that could stand the fire were to be purified by the fire; and those which could not resist the action of the fire were to be purified by water (Num.31:23). The gold, silver, and precious stones could stand the fire; but the wood, hay and stubble would be consumed. Believers are at liberty to build on the Foundation (Jesus) with any of these materials: gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; teaching that the believer can work for a reward. If any man's work abides (stands up, hangs in there), meaning the work that he has built on the foundation that has already been laid . . .
He shall receive a reward . . . He has not only preached the Truth, but he has labored in the word and doctrine, and the reward is to be according to the labor, according to the nature of his work (verse 8). Works that stand the test of trial, will be rewarded. There shall be stars in his crown.
1 Cor. 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. (KJV)
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss . . . if his work does not abide, if he has built with wood, hay and stubble, meaning mixed fables, idle stories and corrupt doctrine with the doctrine of the Gospel, he shall suffer loss by it, either by the afflicting hand of God, or by a loss of his reputation, or some other way.
But he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire . . . God will not cast off a soul for such error, if he keeps to the main Foundation, Jesus Christ . . . he shall be saved, although it be as by fire, meaning with difficulty. The FIRE in this Passage is NOT purgatory! There is NO purgatory in the Bible! The HOLY WORD of GOD NEVER mentions this falsehood, ever!
Verses 14-15 . . . amplifies what was said before. If the materials used by a spiritual builder stand the test of the Day of Judgment, he will receive the reward of a faithful servant. If our work is done with the right motive, we will be rewarded. If our work is done with the wrong motive, we will suffer the loss of a reward. That is exactly what Jesus was teaching in Matthew chapter 6. If our praying and fasting is done to impress men, our reward will be taken away at the Judgment Seat when our motive is put under the light and judged. If we fast and pray with a sincere heart to God and hide it from the eyes and attention of man, we will be rewarded at the Judgment Seat when our motives are put under the light of judgment. To suffer loss means to lose something we already have. We can LOSE rewards that we already have earned by doing things in the flesh. In God's method of justice, we can earn rewards for works we do, and then lose those rewards by doing something in the flesh. But, it seems that we can also do things for God's glory that will earn back rewards that we have lost.
We must remember that the Apostle Paul is writing to the believers at the church of Corinth. The Bible is NOT talking about the fool who built his house upon the sand (Mat.7:26-27). This Passage of Scripture in 1 Cor.3:10-15, is speaking to those who already have a sure foundation, which is Jesus Christ. The Word of God proclaims that Jesus Christ is the ONLY TRUE FOUNDATION. The foolish man in Matthew 7:26-27 represents the unsaved man (unbeliever) who rejects Christ for salvation. His destruction is sure to come. 1 Cor. 3:10-15 is speaking to the man who has already placed his faith in Christ, he is a born-again believer; BUT he is unwisely building upon that foundation with unreliable materials. Only that which we do for Christ will last.
NO one will fool God on Judgment Day. Proverbs 24:12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works? (KJV) . . . My dear friend, God knows who is sincere and who is not (hypocrites). There will NOT be any need for juries in Heaven, because the eyes of Lord are upon the evil and the good (Pro.15:3). God is omniscient. He knows everything, even or thoughts (Eze.11:5). God ponders the thoughts of an estimated 7,000,000,000 people on the Earth, as only this awesome and amazing God could do. This is why Jesus warned that men will be held accountable even for the very words they speak. Mat. 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. (KJV)
NO one will escape God's judgment. All evil and good will be accounted for. NO one will be able to deceive God, make excuses or lie, for God knows all things. Eternal life is a free gift from God, paid in full by Jesus Christ with His precious literal Blood (1 Pet. 1:18-19). We live right because we are saved; NOT to get saved. NO one can work for salvation. It is a Gift (Eph.2:8; Rom.6:23).
Rewards
We are not told the details of these rewards, for He tells us only what we NEED to know. BUT, any reward from God must be wonderful. Our rewards may be personal commendations from Jesus, “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21, 23). They may be in the form of crowns (1 Cor.9:25, Rev.3:11). In 1 Peter 5:4, a special “crown of glory” is specified for leaders who serve well. In 2 Timothy 4:8, we see a crown of righteousness for those who live Godly lives and long for Christ’s return. James 1:12 references a crown of life for those who persevered by God’s grace, while under trial for their faith.
Philippians 4:1 speaks of a crown of joy for those who stand firm in their service to God. Our rewards may be positions of authority or leadership as we reign with Christ (2 Tim.2:12, Rev. 20:6, 22:5). In 1 Cor. 6:3, we will even be given authority to judge the angels. No matter what our rewards are, Christians in this life must have faith that God will make all our service to Him worthwhile. We should understand that AFTER salvation, while we remain here on the Earth, we must obey and serve our awesome God, working towards our rewards from Christ Jesus.
TRUTH: Works CANNOT save your soul.
Eph. 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. (KJV)
Rom. 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (KJV)
Rom. 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (KJV)
MORE TRUTH
We Must Work AFTER We are Saved
Eph. 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (KJV)
Phil. 2:13-14 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. 14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: (KJV)
James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. (KJV)
2 Thes. 1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: (KJV)
Our wise God God has established this system of works within His all-encompassing system of Grace, similar in much like the way He did to govern the daily lives of the Jews in the Old Testament. Even though the two are completely jointly exclusive. When we are not properly oriented toward God’s grace and sovereignty, we may feel guilty for trying to earn eternal rewards. Dear one, our works should be motivated because of our love for Christ.
Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: (KJV) We should not lust for or store up short-lived treasures here on Earth. Costly garments can be eaten by moths, things we collect can get rusty, and thieves can break in and steal what you have (Job 27:16; Job 13:28; Isaiah 50:9; 51:8). In James 5:2 there is an obvious reference to our Lord's words. All earthly, temporal treasures are quite uncertain.
Matthew 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: (KJV) When I consider our Lord’s marvelous teaching, I am simply in awe! How utterly wise He is! He NEVER leads us astray! Ever! Spiritual treasures are indestructible and inaccessible to thieves (Col. 3:2).
What are spiritual treasures? They are anything that you do for the cause of Christ! (1 Cor.3:10-17). Quite the opposite of what the world considers treasure, riches!
Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (KJV) If your money in the bank, and you have uncountable possessions that keep mounting . . . where is your heart? With your treasure! There is nothing wrong with having wealth. Many righteous people in Bible were wealthy. It is NOT money that is evil, it is the LOVE of money that is evil (1 Tim.6:10). What a person loves, THAT is his god.
The Great White Throne
The judgment of unbelievers will take place after the Millennium, when ALL unbelievers stand before the Great White Throne of God (Rev.20:11). God will judge ALL their deeds (Rom.2:6) and find that they all lack the righteousness of Jesus Christ (Rom. 3:22), and God will cast them all into the lake of fire forever (Rev. 20:15). The Bible does NOT tell us how the judgment of their individual human good works will affect their eternal doom in the lake of fire. I personally think that there there will be degrees of punishment in Hell, although we can’t perceive a punishment worse than Hell itself. Romans 1:18-27 tells us that they deserve their punishment, and they have no excuse for their unbelief, since God has revealed Himself to all men.
Conclusions
We ALL will face God’s Judgment, whether we’re believers or unbelievers. Believers will be rewarded for their divinely good works, and they’ll spend eternity in Heaven, either as wealthy recipients of many rewards, or as paupers in comparison to what they could have had.
At the Great White Throne of God, unbelievers will be found to lack the righteousness of Jesus Christ, and they’ll be sentenced to the lake of fire forever. Our concern in this life should be that of pleasing God as Christians through our faith, our obedience, and our earning of heavenly rewards.
